INDIA HAS TOLD CIPLA TO PAY AS MUCH AS Rs. 66.58 CRORE ($14 MILLION) FOR ALLEGEDLY SELLING SOME DRUGS AT PRICES ABOVE THOSE APPROVED BY THE GOVERNMENT.
THE NATIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL PRICING AUTHORITY HAS ASKED CIPLA TO PAY Rs 64.39 CRORE , INCLUDING INTEREST , ON ITS SALBUTAMOL DRUG AND 2.19 CRORE ON NORFLOXACIN DRUG, THE COMPANY SAID.
