Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 15 October 2026. Please read these terms before using eLucknow.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These terms govern access to the eLucknow website and related features. By using the website, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for a business or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it. Do not use the service if you do not agree.

2. Platform role and accuracy

eLucknow provides discovery, directory, community and information features. Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, we are not the provider of a listed business's goods or services, the employer for a job listing, or the organiser of a third-party event. We do not guarantee that user-submitted information is complete, accurate, current or available. Verify material details directly with the relevant provider.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account except where applicable law provides otherwise. We may request reasonable verification to protect users and listings.

4. User submissions and prohibited use

You must have the rights and authority to submit content and attachments. Do not submit unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, misleading, discriminatory, threatening, malicious or privacy-invasive material; spam; impersonate others; manipulate reviews or rankings; upload malware; or attempt to bypass security. We may moderate, refuse, remove or restrict content or accounts where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law and any required notice or grievance process.

5. Listings, jobs and events

Listing owners are responsible for the truthfulness, legality and timely updating of their submissions, including permissions, licences, employment terms, event details and claims made in advertisements. A listing or paid placement does not constitute our verification or endorsement. Users should independently assess providers and offers before acting on them.

6. Plans, fees, taxes and payments

Where paid plans are offered, the applicable plan, duration, included benefits, price, taxes, platform/handling charges and payment instructions will be shown before checkout or otherwise communicated. Taxes and fees will be applied as displayed and as required by law. A plan is activated, renewed or upgraded only according to the stated payment and approval process. Bank-transfer payments may require receipt review and confirmation. Do not treat a transfer receipt as confirmation that funds have cleared.

Plan duration and extension rules are those displayed at purchase. Unless a checkout expressly states otherwise, an extension of an active paid plan begins after the existing expiry date; an upgrade may take effect when confirmed and may be subject to price adjustment or revised expiry terms displayed before payment. Basic/free plans may have different upgrade and renewal options.

7. Cancellation, refunds and complaints

Any cancellation, refund, renewal or dispute will be handled according to the plan terms shown at purchase and applicable Indian consumer law. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. Contact us promptly with the transaction reference and details of the issue. Refund eligibility and processing times may depend on the payment provider and applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

The website's design, software, branding and original editorial content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain rights you hold in your submitted content, while granting us a non-exclusive permission to host, reproduce, format, display and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to provide, promote and secure the service. You may not copy or commercially exploit website material except as permitted by law or with permission.

9. Third-party services and links

External websites, payment gateways, maps, social networks and listed providers are operated by third parties. We do not control their content or practices and are not responsible for their terms, availability or privacy practices. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms.

10. Availability and liability

We aim to keep the website available and secure but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from third-party listings, inaccurate user content, temporary unavailability or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including applicable consumer protections.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict access for suspected fraud, security risks, unlawful content, material breach or legal requirements. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and a way to raise a grievance. You may stop using the service at any time; payment-related obligations and provisions that by their nature survive termination will continue to apply.

12. Grievances and applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, including applicable laws and rules in force in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Subject to any mandatory jurisdiction or consumer remedy provided by law, the courts of competent jurisdiction at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or use of the service. Nothing here limits a right to approach a forum that has jurisdiction under mandatory law.

For complaints or grievances, contact us through the Contact Us page and include “Grievance” in the subject. Where applicable intermediary or consumer rules require a designated grievance officer and response timelines, publish the current officer details and follow those requirements.

13. Changes and severability

We may update these terms by publishing a revised version with a new date. Changes apply prospectively to the extent required by law; material changes may require additional notice or consent. If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful.
